Legat de 1989, este primul joc pe care l-am "precomandat". De-abia astept sa-mi soseasca, desi mai sunt multe luni pana cand incepe productia!

sper ca nu a mai scris nimeni de asta, dar eu nu am gasit. Va fi lansata o extensie pentru Cosmic Encounter: Cosmic Conflict. Avem 2 pagini cu noutatile aduse jocului prin aceasta extensie, enjoy!

Hazard cards come into play during the Destiny phase of an encounter. If a player draws a Destiny card with a hazard symbol on it, then that player draws a card from the Hazard deck. These Hazard cards introduce a variety of effects - some only lasting for the duration of the encounter, while others remain in play.

Many Destiny cards from the Cosmic Encounter base game already contain this Hazard symbol, making the Hazard variant completely compatible with all other published variants. In addition to the Hazard variant, Cosmic Conflict also adds 20 new aliens to face-off against. One of these new aliens is a classic whose stench will need no introduction.

In the warring cosmos, many seemingly docile planets might be more than dangerous you’d expect. Saboteur tokens add a whole new level of danger for potential colonizers. The backs of these tokens are identical to each other, but their fronts may or may not represent a booby trapped planet. Player’s will not be able to reveal these tokens until they land on a planet. Any token that is revealed to be a trap will instantly wipe the planet of all its ships, sending them back to the warp.

Nu este chiar un joc nou, insa tinand cont de cata vreme este Out of Print, putem considera ca este ca si un nou titlu pentru cei care il doreau si nu erau dispusi sa arda $150.

Imi place treaba asta cu pretul echivalent $/€ de mor. Probabil le era greu sa calculeze ceva mai bine si sa ajunga la niste sume de genul 50$/38€ sau 58$/45€. Anyway, componentele arata foarte bine. Daca si gameplay-ul va fi pe masura, il voi adauga la colectia mea Days of Wonder. Nu mai e mult pana in martie.

Cam plictisitor modul de a face reclama la joc, desi realizarea este placuta. Noroc cu vaporul "Nights of Wonder", ca altfel cred ca puteam sa si adorm in astea 5 minute...

In mod traditional, jocurile create de Martin Wallace pentru editura sa, Treefrog Games – si inainte de aceasta pentru Warfrog Games – s-au bazat pe istoria lumii reale: caile ferate din Regatul Unit, batalii din Polonia, Revolutia franceza si asa mai departe.

Nu si de data aceasta – la Spiel 2011, Wallace si Treefrog Games se vor prezenta cu Ankh-Morpork, cu actiunea plasata in cel mai mare oras-stat din seria Discworld (Lumea Disc) a lui Terry Pratchett. Dupa cum spune Wallace, "Povestea este ca Lord Vetinari a disparut si anumite factiuni incearca sa preia controlul orasului." Fiecare jucator detine o personalitate secreta ce are conditii specifice de victorie, ceea ce inseamna ca nu vei sti exact ce trebuie sa faca ceilalti jucatori pentru a castiga.

Actiunea are loc pe harta orasului Ankh-Morpork, iar jucatorii vor incerca sa plaseze diferite creaturi ("minions") si cladiri prin intermediul cartilor. Fiecare dintre cele 132 de carti este unica si, spune Wallace, "Cartile insufletesc jocul pentru ca includ cele mai faimoase personaje din seria Discworld. Regulile sunt relativ simple: Joci o carte si apoi faci ce spune aceasta. Majoritatea cartilor permit mai multe actiuni si poti alege sa efectuezi una, mai multe sau chiar pe toate. Unele carti permit, de asemenea, sa joci o a doua carte, pentru a crea, astfel, combo-uri."

O echipa de artisti vor recrea orasul si pe rezidentii sai pentru carti, tabla de joc si cutie, coordonatorul acesteia fiind Bernard Pearson. Ankh-Morpork a fost sublicentiat lui Mayfair Games pentru piata nord-americana si lui Kosmos pentru cea germana.

Discworld! Extraordinar, excelent, minunat! Nu stiam ca exista un joc pe tema asta si stiam de o prostie de joc abstract care avea numele asta dar fara legatura cu universul in sine. Thanks!
