Project Update #36: Hegemonic Project Update



I waited till after GenCon so I'd have the most current pictures and information to share with you all.

The minis were delivered to us but we found one more problem: the feet were not made larger (as we had asked) on the Agent. So they stand on their heads better than on their feet. So that will add 2 more weeks delay to fix, sorry.

We got a first look at the velvet bags and the metal coins and the double layer boards and they all looked awesome.

So, we're now looking at an October delivery time. You can see some recent pictures over at our Facebook page:

nush cum arata componentele in realitate dar din pozele astea rezulta clar ca au nevoie de o mazgaleala. daca se varsa din greseala o punga de Skittles peste tabla de joc cred ca se va opri partida instant si toata lumea va trece prin gura tot ce este mic si colorat. Daca are gust de fructe e bobo, daca are gust de plastic e Hegemonic, daca are alt gust ...e cam nasol, dracu stie ce ati bagat in gura....Cred ca ma roade invidia si mai imi vine si un gust amar in gura. Dar faza e ca stiu de unde e amareala...de la pledgeul pentru 23 de kg de Futuristic Metal Coins pe care stau ca fraierul ( si cu banii dati) si le astept sa vina....

The coins are still in progress to be done by the end of this month and then shipped in which takes 25 days. I should have some air mailed to Essen for those who want to pick them up there. I also hope to have some colored samples soon (like you I must wait too).

We are currently running a campaign for our newest economic game called Battle Merchants which will use the upcoming Dragon Coins. You can order some there as an add-on but just like this campaign we'll also be running another Kickstarter to fund more coins. That should happen sometime in October.

The latest news I have is they are on schedule to be in my hands by end of October when we'll also be getting Hegemonic. When I have more firm confirmation or if I can get them before Hegemonic to start some non-bundled deliveries, I'll post an update.

I am told our Hegemonic games will be sent to be put on a boat next week. That means I expect them in our warehouse by the week of Essen (Oct 22nd or so).

The problem now is that the Metal Future Coins that are promised to everyone are a month behind that. I'm sure most of you would want your game a month earlier. But there is no budget/extra money to send the coins out separately. Thus we have a problem... I suspect the solution options we'll have are:

1) Allow people to opt out of the free metal coins (doubt many will take this option)

2) You or a friend pick up your coins at BGG.CON

3) Pay a small shipping fee (under $5 if you only got the +50, under $10 if you ordered a bunch of coins) to have them shipped separately. This may not be a valid option to the non-USA backers as splitting the order could add $40+ in shipping.

4) Delay your game shipment a month.

I'm not saying this is the final case or that you need to choose now. I'm only warning that we have decided to ship the Hegemonic before the coins are completed as there will be at least a 1 month delay between the two.

All indications are that I WILL have enough coins and Hegemonic at Essen Game Fair to supply anyone wanting to pickup their order at the show.

I will update more as I have more info. I hope this information is helpful and not a spark to cause an outrage. I've attached an image of the unpainted metal coins just for reference as this was posted over in the Future Coins campaign and not here."

I just got the first copy off the press air-mailed to me for inspection. This is the final game and they are being packed up to be shipped. I'm VERY happy to say that I'm thrilled with how everything turned out and I cannot find any flaws or problems other then - it's hard to put all that stuff back into the box afterwards! But we needed the box small enough to fit into a flat rate medium box for USPS shipping, so we did what we could.

I hope you're all as excited as me! The game great, the chipboard all punched out without any problems, the miniatures are awesome, and the double-layered player boards actually WORK!

The version shown below (that was sent to me) is the RETAIL version. You will all be getting an extra 7 velvet bags, 50 metal coins, and a FOIL signed box cover with your delivery cause of the stretch goals!

THE GOOD:

I was notified that the truck with our Hegemonic games will be delivered to our warehouse this week. It will take us a week to get the initial orders out the door, but we're starting to ship next week!

THE BAD:

The free set of metal coins we agreed to give everyone is NOT ready and won't be for at least a month, maybe two.

THE UGLY:

We are therefore forced to hold on to the game untill we have everything we promised to ship at once. If we didn't we'd loose a lot of money on secondary shipping.

However, we are offering everyone the chance to forgo the free coins to get shipped right away. Or if you're a USA backer, we'll ship your add-ons that are not ready later for a $5 charge.

We need to know what YOU want us to do with your order. To do that, you must log back into your Backerkit account

Daca de cand am zis "DA" (retrospectiv privind, parca a fost un angajament pe viata, la starea civila) si pana as fi primit jocul ar fi durat 5 min, 2 luni de asteptare in plus, erau enorm de mult...Asa, la cat am asteptat, 2 luni nu inseamna nimic...Si la cat am stat sa aleg monedele, nici prin ca nu-mi trece sa renunt tocmai la ele...
