Aveam si eu o sugestie de monezi, care mie mi s-a parut practica la un joc: Monezi metalice, cu motiv romanesc, 100% originale, de 0.01 lei, 0.05 lei, 0.10 lei, costa: 1 leu 100 monezi de 0.01, 5 lei 100 monezi de 0.05 si 10 lei 100 monezi de 0.10.

The Best Damn Coins: August 20 update

Hi Everyone,

The short update: we spoke with the company we get our coins through - who subs it out to a metal manufacturer - and they said as far as they know everything is on schedule. However they also said that all of the delays until now, their provider kept saying everything was fine until the deadline and only then did they say there were problems. So, we are getting dates, but once we have those dates the people providing them, and thus us, and thus you, are in the dark in terms of regular updates. When we DO get any kind of update we will share it.

Now, I spoke with our contact at GenCon and he said they are hopeful. It's a little over two weeks that they said they would be done so we shall see.

We've been asked by a number of people why we don't change manufacturers. At this point, it would clearly take longer to start over - new molds, new production, new packaging - than to see this thru to the end. Perhaps we should have changed earlier but, our games production partner who is managing the process has always been (basically) on time and a strong and consistent partner for us. If we had known the molds would take forever, and then we would have these problems in getting the manufacturing finished, we would have explored other options. But at this point it is not the time to do so.

Our games partner has our money. If this coins partner does not deliver - and they almost certainly will seeing as they have provided other large coins projects we know of first-hand - then our games partner will make it right. So the project is not in any jeopardy other than the frustration we are all feeling at how long it is taking. Until I hear otherwise I'm going to assume the coins slide into the works of our games partner in a few weeks.

On a different note, we bought a bunch of coins from our friends at Fantasy Coin LLC in order to start selling coins at the recent WBC and GenCon conventions. Our 2015 con season was built around our coins so not having them has been a real problem. So we decided to test out coin sales with their very nice product. Anyway, the way we sold them is by buying a giant treasure chest from the movie props company that provides the Pirates of the Caribbean and dumping all of the coins into it. People took a bag, put in as many as they wanted, and were charged by weight. It was a pretty fun way to go with the coins. Thanks to all of our backers who stopped by the booth and talked to us.

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick note that our games manufacturer said things appear to be on track. That means they should get them in their warehouse soon to release for ocean shipment. We will let you know when this happens, or if there is a contrary update instead.
